Yesterday Benjamin turned seven months old, and what a great seven months it has been. My little boy now has two teeth and more on the way soon. He is still army crawling, but he is also pushing up on all fours and rocking back and forth. I have never seen a baby army crawl so fast. He is so close to crawling on his hands and knees, but considering how fast he goes with the army crawl, he may decide to just skip the other crawling all together.
Aside from everything else that is growing fast with Ben, his personality is growing the most. He has the sweetest soul. At seven months old he is already such a loving, caring, and fun person. He has always been a very touchy and feely baby but recently he discovered that some things may be fun to eat and look at, however, not so fun to touch. He makes a funny, angry, and grossed out face when he touches something he doesn’t like.
Benny loves fresh air and the outdoors, anytime we are outside on a walk or in a busy place that is when he is happiest. He loves his excer-saucer, walker, and toys, but there is nothing like a new environment and lots of new things to see. His favorite foods are pears, sweet potatoes, bananas, and arrowroot cookies.
He loves to talk and is trying to copy words we say. He says MaMaMa, DaDaDa, and BaBaBa on his own, but he will try to copy and say “Hi” and other small words if you keep saying it to him. He is a very observant little boy, since the day he was born he would just watch and listen for hours (literally). He is in his crib at nights now, but he isn’t sleeping through the night just yet.
What a wonderful seven months I have had being a stay at home Mom. There is nothing better than spending my days with Benjamin and watching him learn and grow. I am looking forward to what this next month of his life will bring.
