Living in California has been a positive experience so far. My husband suggested that each weekend we do something as a family that we haven’t done before, so last weekend we ventured off to Berkeley. Our first stop was at a local coffee shop followed by a short walk nearby. We then grabbed breakfast at The Social Club, a restaurant which offers a large variety of breakfast and lunch foods for everyone.
After that we made our way back to the car, launched the GPS directions, and found ourselves at the University of California. The Botanical Gardens are a short drive uphill, and the admission price was surprisingly inexpensive. They offer you a map of the gardens which is nice because with an infant the last thing you want is to get lost.
The Gardens have nine main zones dedicated to different continents of the world. These zones include: The Deserts of America, Australia, Asia, and Mediterranean. I have included a small gallery of photos from our hike in the gardens above.
