Our first Fall adventure was to The University of California in Berkeley. It is a very large campus with so much history and architecture, we loved it. This is a school I would have loved to of gone too. They even have real Frat Houses, I’m talking dozens of them. As a Canadian growing up in Alberta, it isn’t common to see Frat Houses unless it’s on TV. Most people don’t understand why touring a campus would be fun for a family with no one who attends there, but for us it was all new and exciting.
In Western Canada our Universities are more modernized and much smaller. There definitely isn’t any history like at UC Berkeley. My husband attended his first college football game last month at the campus, college football is something else that isn’t very big in Canada like it is here. It’s very interesting to see how the student life is down here in California, I can now understand why there are low acceptance rates to get into some of these big schools.
